You can always count on Pat McAfee when it comes to hilarious analysis of NFL games on Sunday.

The former Colts punter took to Twitter Sunday afternoon like he does every Sunday to provide analysis of the days best special teams action. In what he called the “Snow Globe of Buffalo”, McAfee watched on as the Colts special teams unit repeatedly put the team in position to possibly win the game. Safe to say that he approved of what he saw.

Late in the second quarter Rigoberto Sanchez, with the wind blowing and snow falling hard, punted from the Colts 29. While very unconventional, it didn’t seem to bother Sanchez as he promptly sent a punt that landed in a snow bank on the one-yard line.

McAfee promptly lost his mind.

“Back in the snow globe of Buffalo with Rigobert Sanchez punting from the 29-yard line,” McAfee said. “Little checkup cuzzo. Buried it in the soft green downed at the one. What a (expletive) ball Rigoberto!”

Things got even crazier late in the game. Down one after a controversial penalty wiped out a two-point conversion that put the Colts ahead, Adam Vinatieri took the field to attempt a 43-yard extra point. In the driving wind in almost impossible conditions, Vinatieri sent a knuckle ball that curved in and tied the game with just over a minute left. McAfee couldn’t have been happier for his friend and long-time teammate.

While McAfee’s commentary of the entire situation is hilarious as a whole his statement, “That thing started at Geico, ended up in heaven and we’re going to overtime in Buffalo!” is one for the ages.

Since retiring from the NFL, Pat McAfee has been delivering hilarious commentary on various things around the league, and it seems to go viral each time he does it.

Little known Bob Menery, who has been dubbed “the guy with the golden voice,” has been doing voice-overs and commentating on games for a few months now. He is beginning to make a name for himself as he continues to impress with his hilarious takes.

It’s only right that the former Indianapolis Colts punter and the golden voice commentator hook up and do a video together, which they did on Sunday.

Following the Broncos-Raiders fight earlier in the day, the two paired up and delivered the video of the year when they called the violent action between the two teams.

Men’s Arizona Cardinals Patrick Peterson Nike Black Team Color Limited Jersey

Arizona Cardinals cornerback Patrick Peterson believes an extra official on the field would prevent receivers from pushing off as much as he claims they currently do.

Peterson made the claim after the Cardinals’ 12-7 win against the Tennessee Titans, standing in front of his locker. While the topic clearly had been on his mind for some time, a third-quarter play sparked his words.

With 4 minutes, 16 seconds left in the third quarter, Peterson felt Titans receiver Eric Decker pushed off at the top of his route after using his hands to “manipulate” Peterson near the line of scrimmage. Decker went on to make a 29-yard catch, and no penalty flag was thrown. After Peterson felt Decker pushed off, he turned to field judge Eugene Hall while still in pursuit of Decker to complain about the perceived push-off.

“I said, ‘Why didn’t you call it?'” Peterson said. “He said, ‘I didn’t see it.'”

And that was the tipping point for Peterson.

“I’m tired of hearing that same response: ‘I didn’t see it,'” Peterson said. “Why are you on the field then if you didn’t see it? I’m not criticizing the ref at all. I’m just saying, if he didn’t see it, we need to have somebody else out there seeing both sides.”

Peterson’s suggestion was to add an official to help monitor both receivers and defensive backs. He likened it to how back judges and umpires watch both sides of the offensive line.

“Why don’t we have somebody watching the receivers and the defensive backs?” Peterson said. “I just think they have to find a way to even it out for sure, because, at the end of the day, if they’re going to call tit-for-tat calls, it should be a [pass interference] every time the receiver is on a breaking route. They’re pushing off and gaining leverage.”

He continued: “I just think, for the most part, if we want to the game to be clean on both sides, we got to add another ref because I’m tired of getting the same response when you go to the ref about when someone’s pushing off [and are told], ‘Oh, we don’t see it.’ That’s not the response I’m looking for. If the game’s going to be called both ways, we need to have eyes on both defensive backs and receivers, because that was a B.S. call. But he caught the ball and got the first down, and luckily we got the interception to finish off that drive. But we got to add another ref to the field.”

Men’s New York Jets Leonard Williams Nike Green Game Jersey

Leonard Williams is making his presence felt on opposing quarterbacks — even if his sacks total doesn’t tell the whole story.

The New York Jets defensive lineman has just two this season, but he has a whopping 26 quarterback hits. That means he’s getting passers off their spots, forcing throws and making them downright uncomfortable.

“People want to see the sacks,” Williams acknowledged Thursday. “I wouldn’t really call a QB hit a stat or anything. I just think of it as being disruptive. That’s what a defensive player wants to do, is be disruptive in any way possible.

“No matter what type of stat it is, if you’re cheap jerseys China being disruptive, that’s a good defensive play.”

Williams entered this season, his third in the NFL, with a goal of getting a sack per game. He’s way off that pace, of course, but he has gotten consistent pressure the past few games. Also, the sprained wrist that ailed him since the summer is fully healed.

“Leo has played well for us,” coach Todd Bowles said. “He’s been disruptive, even with the double teams. He’s been getting hits on the quarterback and he’s been playing across the line of scrimmage.”

Williams made his first Pro Bowl last season after getting seven sacks and emerging as one of the league’s top young pass rushers. After a slow start during which he went the first eight games without a sack, Williams is looking like his old self again.

Against Kansas City’s Alex Smith last Sunday, Williams had a half-sack and four quarterback hits.

“We think Leonard is definitely improving,” defensive coordinator Kacy Rodgers said. “He’s really coming up. You sit there, and if I’m not mistaken, I think he might have had four or five quarterback hits the other day. He’s really getting to the point where we have high expectations for Leo, and he’s exceeding them.”

cheap nfl jerseys china nike

Williams might have a good chance to increase his sacks total at Denver on Sunday. The Broncos have given up 39 sacks, tied for third-most in the NFL. Denver is also second-worst in the league with a minus-16 turnover ratio — something Williams and the Jets hope to capitalize on.

“We call it takeaways because if it’s a takeaway, we’re forcing it, rather than a turnover where we’re waiting for them to turn the ball over,” Williams said.

“So, we’re definitely going to try to get after the ball. We see that they had a lot of ball security issues, but at the same time, they’ve been able to recover a lot of them, so that’s on our part to make sure we do recover it when the ball does come out.”

Big things have been expected of Williams since he was selected with the sixth overall pick in the 2015 draft out of USC. He had a steady progression during his first two seasons, but it was clear early this season that something wasn’t quite right.

Williams was forced to play with a cast on his left wrist after suffering a bone bruise during the preseason. While the big lineman has refused to use it as an excuse for his early season struggles, it surely affected his performance.

“He never really said a whole lot,” Rodgers said. “We just saw his play wasn’t where Leo wanted it to be, but now it’s back to where we expect Leo to be.”

cheap nfl china jerseys

Williams credited assistant defensive line coach La’Roi Glover for helping him progress this season. Glover, who had 83½ sacks during a 13-year career, has been working on pass-rushing drills and techniques with Williams regularly.

“I think it’s just a combination of everything,” Williams said. “I don’t want to say it’s an injury thing, I don’t want to say it’s a scheme thing, I don’t want to say that it’s anything like that.

“It’s just a matter of, as the season’s been progressing, I’ve just been getting better each game. I’ve been having a lot of help from my teammates. I’ve been doing a lot of extra work, a lot of extra studying.”

And, lately, it has all been paying off for Williams — even if the sacks still haven’t exactly come in bunches.

“That’s the way it goes sometimes, ultimately,” Rodgers said. “He’s probably kicking himself because he came free on a stunt (Sunday) that he really should have had one. He left one out there, but sometimes it happens like that.

“As long as he keeps hitting the quarterback, we’ll be OK.”

Youth Green Bay Packers Aaron Rodgers Nike White Game Jersey

Aaron Rodgers, who was activated off injured reserve Saturday, will go through a “trial practice week” by primarily serving as the scout team quarterback for the Green Bay Packers.

Rodgers broke his right clavicle Oct. 15 and underwent a surgical repair.

“He’s trial return,” coach Mike McCarthy said Monday. “Just like everybody. I go through this every time a player comes off an injury. You either go down and you’re in the rehab group, and then once you get out of the rehab group, you’re trial return, so you’re limited reps in the practice.”

McCarthy stressed that Rodgers has not been medically cleared for a full return and won’t be this week.

“That’s why we call it trial return because he’s not cut loose for a full practice,” McCarthy said. “The medical clearance won’t be [an option] until next week.”

McCarthy said Rodgers is practicing even though he can’t play Sunday against the winless Browns.

“Obviously, scout-team work is something that he will do,” McCarthy said. “Obviously, the drill work. It’s important for him to feel the pass rush and get acclimated. We won’t be in pads on Wednesday, but it will be a padded practice on Thursday, so you have to make sure you identify exactly what you want to get done there.”

The Packers (6-6) are still alive in the NFC playoff picture and play the Cleveland Browns on Sunday, with Brett Hundley making his seventh start since Rodgers was injured in Week 6.

Rodgers is eligible under the league’s designated to return rules for the Packers’ Dec. 17 game against the Panthers. He still would need medical clearance to formally return to play, but his scout team work this week will serve as the next step before a full return to practice next week.

cheap authentic stitched nfl jerseys

The Packers’ first practice this week is Wednesday.

The future looked bleak for Green Bay when Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers broke his collarbone in Week 6, raising doubts he would play again this season. The team floundered with backup quarterback Brett Hundley under center, starting with a loss to the Minnesota Vikings the day Rodgers was injured and continued to be on the wrong side of the scoreboard in four of the next five games.

Then Green Bay orchestrated a 26-20 overtime victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday, and the win could not have come at a better time. Not only did the Packers improve to 6-6, they put themselves in position to become a playoff team just in time for Rodgers’ reported return in Week 15 against the Carolina Panthers. Or so it seemed.

Any and all playoff hopes for Green Bay require winning out the rest of the way and ending the season with a 10-6 record. Since 2002, the year the league expanded to 32 teams, 162 clubs have won 10 or more games; 152 (94 percent) of those made the playoffs. But it won’t be that easy. Yes, the Packers get to play the 0-12 Cleveland Browns on the road in Week 13, but then they have to face, in order: Carolina Panthers on the road, Minnesota Vikings at home and Detroit Lions on the road. Bright side: Those are also three teams that stand in their way of a playoff spot.
nfl jerseys online cheap
Using the same win probabilities that fuel our weekly power rankings, the most likely win, other than the matchup against the Browns, is the game against the Detroit Lions in the regular season finale (40 percent win probability). Maybe the Packers’ job becomes easier if Lions quarterback Matt Stafford misses time after suffering a bone bruise in his right hand during Sunday’s 44-20 loss to the Baltimore Ravens, but at best that brings it to a 50/50 coin flip.

The hardest game remaining for Green Bay is against the Week 16 matchup against the Vikings (26 percent win probability), the No. 1 team in our power rankings. According to Football Outsiders, Minnesota is the fifth-best team in the NFL, with an offense that ranks No. 4 and a defense that ranks No. 6.

Perhaps you bump up the Packers’ chances in the games Rodgers could be expected to play after he returns from injury, but the boost won’t be as big as you might think. The Packers’ offense scored 9.4 points more than expected with Rodgers under center rather than Hundley, but that was including a disastrous game in Week 11 against the Baltimore Ravens, which featured five turnovers, three of which were interceptions thrown by Hundley. In the five other games started by Hundley this season, Green Bay’s offense scored 6.5 points per game more than expected. In other words, expect the Packers to be underdogs in each game following the one against the Browns no matter who lines up under center.

Men’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers Doug Martin Nike Red Team Color Limited Jersey

Tampa Bay Buccaneers two-time Pro Bowl running back Doug Martin suffered a concussion against the Atlanta Falcons and sat out the remainder of the Buccaneers’ 20-34 loss.

Martin had three carries on the Bucs’ opening drive before taking a hit and briefly leaving the game. He returned, rushing for 33 yards on seven carries, averaging 4.7 yards per carry. He was then replaced by Jacquizz Rodgers on the Bucs’ final drive of the first half.

The Bucs have struggled to run the ball. They had 798 rushing yards heading into Sunday’s game — 30th in the league.

Bucs center Ali Marpet also left Sunday’s game with a knee injury.

Bucs defensive tackle Clinton McDonald (back) and defensive back/special-teams captain Josh Robinson (hamstring) were ruled out for the remainder of the game.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Doug Martin suffered a concussion during Sunday’s game against the Atlanta Falcons, the team announced.

The injury is another knock for Martin, who missed the first three games of the season stemming from last year’s failed drug test.

Since the ban was lifted, Martin has rushed 112 times for 343 yards and two touchdowns as Tampa Bay’s bell cow. He’s also managed seven receptions for 60 yards.

But now that Martin is banged up again a season after appearing in just eight games, the Bucs will have to pivot back to their contingency plan.
cheap jerseys china nfl
That means Jacquizz Rodgers should eat up early-down work, with Charles Sims operating as the third-down pass-catching specialist.

Doug Martin was expected to give the Tampa Ba Buccaneers’ offense a jolt when he came off his three-game suspension to start the season. Instead, Martin has been one of the biggest disappointments in football, contributing to a Bucs offense that went off the rails.

Through seven games, Martin has just 343 yards and two touchdowns on 112 carries, averaging a meager 3.1 yards per carry. He has yet to clear the 100-yard mark and is prone to major duds, such as last week’s performance against the Miami Dolphins (19 carries, 38 yards).

Fantasy impact: The Bucs are still feeding Martin the rock because they really don’t have any better options, so sheer volume alone could keep him on the RB2 radar. However, he’s simply not doing anything with those carries and looks almost out of gas at age 28. The Atlanta Falcons are not an appealing matchup in Week 12, giving up the 10th-fewest fantasy points to running backs. Martin has been bench fodder most of the year and we don’t see that changing here.

Mens New England Patriots Rob Gronkowski Nike Red Alternate Game Jersey

The Patriots are ready to come home, but they certainly enjoyed their business trip to Mexico City.

The Pats will fly back to New England a happy bunch, now 8-2 on the season and winners of six straight following their 33-8 drubbing of the Oakland Raiders in Mexico City. They did just about everything right for the second straight week, and treated international football fans to quite the show on Sunday.

But this road victory was truly unique. Even with the stadium mostly empty as the Patriots and Raiders hit the field for their pregame warmups, the crowd at Estadio Azteca was loud and ready to go. The Raiders may have been the home team for Sunday’s contest, but the crowd remained electric as the Patriots piled up the points on the scoreboard.

“They were on top of their game,” tight end Rob Gronkowski said of the fans. “It was just a fiesta all over the field.”

“This atmosphere was awesome,” safety Devin McCourty said. “The crowd was crazy. We knew when it came game time they’d be into it. They gave it for four quarters. We definitely appreciate the fans coming out today.”

“It was definitely a great experience,” said running back Dion Lewis, who got the fans going with a 15-yard touchdown in the first quarter. “The fans were very passionate and it was pretty cool to play in a soccer stadium. It got pretty loud and the fans got into it.”

Tom Brady said he enjoyed his time in Mexico City, including the beautiful view from his hotel room and the experience of playing in such a historic stadium. The in-game experience further added to his newfound love of the city.

“It was a privilege for us to be here and play in front of those fans,” Brady said after torching the Raiders for 339 yards and three touchdowns. “It was a great experience.”

cheap nfl jerseys usa

Brady was met with a mix of boos and “Brady!” chants when he first took the field before the game. Those chants shifted more to just his name as the contest continued, surprising the quarterback who often hears lots of dislike from opposing fans. Brady is now 3-0 in New England’s games outside of the United States, adding Sunday’s win to a pair of victories over in London.

“These trips all come down to whether you win or lose,” he said. “You remember when you win. If you lose you want to forget as fast as you can.”

Brady, who had never been to Mexico City before this weekend, said he would definitely be returning in the future.

Many of his teammates feel the same way, but they’ll be happy to be back home after spending over a week on the road. Bill Belichick explained it as a three-leg trip, first starting in Denver for last Sunday’s prime time game, followed by a stay at the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs to get used to the high altitude that awaited them in Mexico City.

The Patriots couldn’t be more grateful for the hospitality that awaited them at each stop. Bill Belichick took the podium after Sunday’s win in an Air Force sweatshirt.

“I’ll always be a Navy man, but I want to give a shout out and a big thanks to [Lt.] General [Jay] Silveria and his great staff at the United States Air Force Academy for the hospitality and the week that we had there,” said Belichick, before praising his team for their work over the last week-plus. “We really asked a lot of the players, our organization, and they all delivered. We had a great nine days and we really got better as a football team.”

The Patriots will get to spend Thanksgiving week at home before playing host to the Miami Dolphins next Sunday. But after that one-week return to Gillette Stadium, they’ll hit the road for three more road games in Buffalo, Miami and Pittsburgh.

But if we’ve learned anything from these Patriots, now winners of 12 straight on the road, they can win football games just about anywhere.

Men’s Cleveland Browns Jim Brown NFL Pro Line Brown Retired Player Jersey

Jim Brown jersey cheap for sale

Yes, it was only against the Giants, but the San Francisco 49ers finally got their first win of the season on Sunday. That just leaves the Browns. A 38-24 loss to the Lions left Cleveland at 0-9, the last team without a win in the N.F.L.

Only one N.F.L. team has finished a season 0-16, the 2008 Lions. But with more than half of this season gone, it is hard not to see the Browns a strong candidate to match the feat.

Oddly, the Browns have not been truly atrocious this year. Bad, yes, but not historically bad. They have had four 3-point losses, including one in overtime. In contrast, the 2008 Lions had one 2-point and two 4-point losses over the whole season. That team finished with a point differential of minus-249. The Browns are at only minus-97 through nine games; they would need to lose by an average of more than 21 points the rest of the way to match the Lions’ mark.

But the only statistic that really matters, any fan knows, is wins. The Browns have zero. And when you lose a bunch of close games, some of them will be agonizing.

Week One brought a 21-18 loss to the Steelers that did not seem to presage a disastrous season. The rookie quarterback DeShone Kizer seemed promising, with 222 yards and a touchdown. The defense played well. Maybe a decent season was in the cards?

Two weeks later, the Browns rallied from 17 points down against a bad Colts team, only to lose by 3 again to fall to 0-3.

Down by 3 late against the Jets two weeks later, the Browns went for it on fourth-and-2 at the 4, but came up short. 0-5.

Two weeks later, the Browns took a game against the Titans into overtime after kicker Zane Gonzalez made a 54-yard field goal. Then they lost on a field goal in overtime. 0-7.

The Browns’ decades-long struggle to settle on a quarterback is well known. This season Kizer was benched for Kevin Hogan, then reinstated, then benched for Cody Kessler, then reinstated again.cheap kids nfl jerseys

cheap nfl stitched jerseys

But focusing on this year’s 0-9 start can lead to missing the broader picture. The Browns have been terrible for a long time. Last season’s team scared 0-16 as well: It started 0-14 before scraping out its only win against the Chargers. The season before, the Browns were 3-13. Cleveland has not had a winning record since 2007, and has not made the playoffs since 2002. The Browns’ last championship? It was in 1964.

So where could a win come this season? Unfortunately, no teams as bad as the Giants are on the Browns’ schedule.

Winning on the road is hard, and three away games on the Cleveland schedule look tough: at the Chargers, Bears and Bengals. None of those teams are outstanding, but all are clearly better than the Browns.

Sometimes the last game of the season is an opportunity for a surprising result. The Browns finish up at Pittsburgh, and the Steelers may well be locked into a playoff position by that point. On the other hand, the Steelers are also one of the league’s best teams, and their backups would probably be favored at home over the Browns.

That leaves the three home games. Two are against solid teams, the Jaguars and the Ravens, and the Browns look likely to be at least a touchdown underdog in each of those games.

But there is hope: the Packers visit Cleveland on Dec. 10. Under ordinary circumstances, the Packers would be a solid favorite, but Aaron Rodgers is out, and his replacement Brett Hundley is 1-2 and putting up anemic numbers. Hundley’s adjusted yards per attempt figure of 4.6 is among the league’s worst. (Of course, it is still better than Kizer’s 3.66.)

The other thing the Browns have going for them is that they have seven games left. That’s a lot of chances for something strange to happen. Even if one gives Cleveland only a 10 percent chance to win each game, they would have better than even odds of succeeding at least once.

Youth Seattle Seahawks Russell Wilson Nike College Navy Team Color Game Jersey

Russell Wilson jersey wholesale  free shipping

Russell Wilson had perhaps his most frustrating performance of the season Sunday against the Redskins, a loss that Seattle’s quarterback will soon have to wash away as the Seahawks travel to Arizona on Thursday.

Wilson didn’t have his worst passing performance, his 297 yards are the fourth-most he’s thrown for this year. His completion percentage wasn’t even his most disappointing, that honor belongs to the season-opening version of the sixth-year QB, who completed only 14 of 27 passes in a loss at Green Bay.

His 24 of 45 effort versus Washington jerseys from china was frustrating because he threw two irrefutably bad interceptions and took an untimely sack in the game’s most pivotal moment, costing his team field position on its final drive. That was after Wilson nearly complete yet another magical fourth-quarter comeback, though he was ultimately outdone in the clutch by counterpart Kirk Cousins.

For that reason, Wilson took a tumble in Doug Farrar of Bleacher Report’s weekly QB Power Rankings, a list that had Wilson occupying the top spout after besting Deshaun Watson in a shootout.

In the gallery above you can find the Farrar’s top 10 quarterbacks after week nine.

The Seahawks offensive line is not good. Statistically, it’s been the worst in the NFL for awhile now. Based on the numbers, it did not have a very good day against the Redskins during a 17-14 loss. According to Pro Football Focus, Russell Wilson was under pressure on 34% of his drop backs.

Jokes were made…

cheap authentic nike nfl jerseys

A video of the Redskins pressuring Wilson with a one-man rush made the rounds on social media, giving everyone another opportunity to shame the Seahawks line…

But that play doesn’t expose the Seahawks line in anyway; it jut goes to show how quick NFL fans are to blame any bad play on the offensive line. Watch that play again, and pay attention to how deep Wilson drops. He’s a good 13 yards behind the line of scrimmage…

Offensive lineman are NOT taught to block for a quarterback who drops back that far. That pressure is on Wilson, not Germain Ifedi.cheap nfl custom jerseys

And that wasn’t the only play where Wilson created his own pressure on plays his offensive line played well. This is his first dropback of the game…

Here’s his second…

Two dropbacks, two good pockets and two “pressures” given up by the line. Wilson did turn the second play into a positive one, but that’s not reflected in the offensive line’s stats.

There are more of these plays…

…all from the same game.

Even some of the legit pressure Wilson faced can’t be put on the line. The Redskins do not do a very good job of disguising this blitz before the snap.

cheap chinese jerseys nfl

The safety might as well be carrying a “This guy’s blitzing” sign when he lines up directly behind the linebacker. Sure enough, that’s what happens…

Wilson doesn’t adjust the protection. The line slides away from the blitz, and the linebacker has an open path to Wilson.

Who gets the blame? That terrible Seahawks offensive line, of course.

Seattle is lacking talent on the offensive line and line coach Tom Cable hasn’t done a very good job of developing his players, but Wilson could do a lot more to help out his guys up front. The frustrating thing is Wilson shows the ability to do it … at times. Here’s an example from the Redskins game.

Wilson helps out his tackles by climbing the pocket rather than trying to escape out the back door, which he’s done so often in his career.

He’s given the opportunity to do so again later in the game — and would have seen a receiver streaking across the field wide open if he had — but he scrambles instead and misses out on a big play.

Wilson has had a lot of success playing sandlot football and his ability to improvise makes him one of the better quarterbacks in the league. But those plays are hard to produce consistently, which could explain why Seattle’s offense has had trouble finding week-to-week consistency throughout Wilson’s career.

The offensive line will continue to be blamed for the Seahawks’ offensive problems no matter how well it plays. And that’s pretty much true for every offensive line across the league. Fans will blame the faceless offensive line for a team’s problems rather than the skill players they have grown attached to. That’s not likely to change anytime soon.

Todd Gurley Los Angeles Rams Nike Youth 2016 Salute to Service Game Jersey

Todd Gurley jersey wholesale free shipping

Los Angeles Rams running back Todd Gurley may be the key to a successful playoff run for LA as the bye week closes.

An off week for the Los Angeles Rams will end, as they ramp up for Week 9 and a game against the New York Giants.

The Rams will travel east for a game against a 1-6 New York team whose offensive struggles, especially on the line, have NFL pundits and fans already wondering if the Giants have seen the best of veteran quarterback Eli Manning.

Los Angeles will roll into NY, or New Jersey to be geographically accurate, with a 5-2 record to kick off what is, in effect, part two of a season where expectations are running high.

One big part of the first seven games has been the play of running back Todd Gurley, who has put the doldrums of a sophomore slump behind him and may be in line for postseason honors.

I’d bet he’d settle for postseason play instead.

For the Rams, any success after the bye week will have Gurley leading the way offensively. As efficient and management like second year quarterback Jared Goff has been, it’ll be the LA running back who will carry this team into the latter fall and holiday months.
wholesale cheap nfl jerseys
Gurley, who has rushed for 627 yards through these first seven games, is clearly on pace to erase a disappointing 2016. To add to his numbers on the ground, he’s also managed to be a reliable pass catcher out of the backfield, with 27 receptions for another 293.

That’s the kind of production that has helped Goff improve form a dismal seven games his rookie season, to a solid first seven games in 2017.

Count on Gurley to continue as a feature for the Rams as the bye week comes to a close.

They’ll need him to be, if they want to play beyond New Year’s Eve.

authentic stitched nfl jerseys cheap

A big reason the Los Angeles Rams rank No. 1 in points scored is because of Todd Gurley. He’s no longer a one-dimensional back who’s a traditional runner. This season, Gurley has become a true three-down back capable of dominating in every facet of the offense.

Coach Sean McVay’s offensive scheme has certainly helped turn Gurley into a more dynamic weapon after struggling under Jeff Fisher last season, but the third-year back has done plenty of his own work, too — and McVay knows it.

“I think any time you’re able to have some success, it helps,” McVay said on the Rich Eisen Show. “The thing about Todd, though, is from the day I met Todd, he’s had that swagger and that confidence. It’s great to see him performing at such a high level.”

Gurley ranks second in the league in rushing, has scored the most touchdowns (eight) and is on pace for more than 1,400 yards rushing and 670 receiving. That would be quite the feat after he failed to reach 1,000 yards on the ground last season.

Without him, the Rams offense doesn’t look the way it does today. There’s a reason he’s already touched the ball 172 times in just seven games. It’s because he’s one of the best players in the league.

“He makes you look good as a coach because you get special players like that, but they’re also special people in terms of the way they lead and bring others with them,” McVay continued. “I think you’re seeing a complete back right now. He’s playing well in all phases. He’s protecting well, understands the little nuances of the position. And I think you can just see in the pass game, making the most of his opportunities. And I also think it’s a credit to Jared being able to get through the progressions where he’s an outlet.”

With Gurley controlling the offense and Goff taking care of the football, the Rams have one of the best young duos in the NFL. As long as they can stay healthy, L.A. could be a legitimate contender in the NFC.

NFL Pro Line Women’s Carolina Panthers Cam Newton Team Color Jersey

Last week, quarterback Cam Newton said two Carolina turnovers that led to Eagles’ touchdowns were “layups” for the visitors.

Sunday against the Bears, two Panthers’ turnovers led to dunks.

The opening possession of the game was going just as the Panthers had planned. They marched into Chicago territory and called an option play on first down from the 24-yard line. But rookie wide receiver Curtis Samuel dropped the backward pitch from Newton, and Bears safety Eddie Jackson scooped it up for a 75-yard score.

“I’ve got to make that play,” Samuel said.

Early in the second quarter, another promising series ended in disaster. Newton’s third-down slant pass to wide receiver Kelvin Benjamin was broken up by cornerback Prince Amukamara, sending the ball high into the air. Jackson corralled it and raced 76 yards for the score.

“I thought (Cam) had his moments,” Rivera said of his quarterback who went 21-of-34 for 211 yards while adding a team-high 50 yards rushing. “The pitch wasn’t his fault. That ball should have been caught. We’ll work on it and get better at it. And then the ball (to Benjamin) ricocheted in the air, again, not his fault.”

But Newton had a costly miscue in the third quarter as the Panthers were threatening to make it interesting. On first-and-10 from the Chicago 45, running back Christian McCaffrey was uncovered cutting across the middle. But Newton’s throw sailed over the rookie, and a big chunk play – perhaps even a touchdown with McCaffrey’s run-after-catch ability – was missed.

“Just a bad throw,” Newton said.

Five plays later, Newton was stopped short on fourth-and-2 from the Bears’ 25-yard line, their 17-3 lead secure.

“He knows it too. I saw his expression right after,” Rivera said of the costly miss to McCaffrey. “He knew that if he brings it down to Christian it’s a big catch.”

The big plays haven’t been there like they were two and three weeks ago at New England and Detroit when the Panthers totaled five plays of 20-plus yards in each of those games.

A 37-yard pass to Benjamin on the final play of Sunday’s first half was the Panthers’ only play over 20 yards. Last week against Philadelphia, the Panthers failed to produce a play over 20 yards.

Carolina didn’t necessarily need explosive plays to beat the Bears on Sunday. Even after turning the ball over twice and spotting Chicago 14 points, the Panthers just needed a few sustained drives to get back into it.

But they never reached the red zone in the second half, let alone the end zone.

“There’s no excuse not to come in and find a way to win this football game,” Newton said. “We squandered that opportunity.”

“We have to get the job done, and offensively we didn’t. We didn’t get an opportunity to get in the red zone and that’s unacceptable. We will and have to be better.”
