The Dallas Cowboys were the ultimate Cinderella story in the 2016-17 NFL season as Dak Prescott emerged as the knight in shining armor to save the team when they thought the Tony Romo injuries would put them out of the running. However, it looks like a new face would be added to the Dez Bryant squad to help the rookie as Mark Sanchez appeared to have been an unsatisfactory backup last season. Does this mean that a Tyrod Taylor contract could be on its way to the Zek Elliot team?

The Buffalo Bills and Tyrod Taylor are finding it difficult to get a common ground. While the quarterback is arguably one of the notable stars in the league, some happen to think that he has overstayed his welcome in the NFL team. Moreover, the exit of Rex Ryan as head coach of the Buffalo Bills reportedly indicated the end of the Tyrod Taylor era as well.

“Tyrod’s [Taylor] benching prior to the season finale against the New York Jets, after Rex Ryan was fired, seemed to be the tipping point for most observers,” noted Jeff Hunter in his analysis of the Buffalo Bills quarterback situation. He added, “That seemed to primarily stem from the fact that Anthony Lynn implied that the front office decision makers didn’t want to risk triggering Taylor’s injury clause in what he termed a ‘business decision.'”

Meanwhile, the Dallas Cowboys are reportedly open to a Tony Romo trade soon. Even prior to the NFL offseason, fans already expected the veteran to exit the Zek Elliot squad following the astounding super talent displayed by Dak Prescott in the gridiron. With the Dallas Cowboys rumored to be letting go of Mark Sanchez in free agency, some fans best website to take the possibility of a Tyrod Taylor trade seriously.

“The first place the Cowboys will likely look for their next backup quarterback will likely be free agency. Dallas will have plenty of options when it comes to who their next backup could be as the list of players in free agency this year is pretty impressive as far as backups go,” pointed out Carl Daley of the speculated plans of Jerry Jones to help out Dak Prescott in the field.

What do you think? Will the Dallas Cowboys be a good landing spot for a Tyrod Taylor contract? Will the Buffalo Bills quarterback do a better job at mentoring the talented Dak Prescott compared to Mark Sanchez?

Dak Prescott’s stellar and surprising rookie jerseys from china campaign has energized the Cowboys fan base.

They’re thinking championship, and they’re not alone.

When Prescott won the NFL’s Offensive Rookie of the year award the night before the Super Bowl, the red carpet at the NFL Honors event turned into a Dak lovefest.

“I love him,” said Hall of Fame quarterback Joe Namath.

Moments later, fellow Hall of Famer Steve young quipped, “he’s built to last.”

“I love what I’m seeing,” echoed Hall of Fame tight end Shannon Sharpe.

And Cowboys Hall of Fame offensive lineman Rayfield Wright is ecstatic about his team’s young signal caller, “he’s going to lead us where we want to go and I’m really happy he’s with the Dallas Cowboys.”

That’s a quartet of Hall of Famers singing Prescott’s praises. Young was so blown away, he could hardly speak.

“Nothing that happened to him happened to me,” said Young. “I have no idea. I shouldn’t even be speaking about this. I have no idea how he did it.”

Bradshaw: NFL needs Dak, not those who ‘stir (stuff) up’

But it goes deeper than that. Both Young and Sharpe met and spent time with Prescott during Super Bowl week and came away feeling like he has all the tools to be a franchise quarterback for years to come.

“He looks like a guy that can go 15 years. He played like it this year. Nobody in his rookie year has ever done this,” said Young.

“He gets it,” said Sharpe. “He doesn’t act, talk like a rookie. He acts and talks like a guy whose been in the league four or five years.”

Talent and the mentality to produce big time. Some of the NFL’s best ever are convinced.

“I can see why it was so easy for the Cowboys, the team to rally behind him because he projects strength. He projects confidence,” said Sharpe.

Confident, but not cocky, Prescott keeps it all in perspective.

“I’ve always had high expectations for myself, but now it seems like a lot of other people do, so it’s just going to make me work harder and get better,” said Prescott.

here’s still an edge, though. When he picked up the hardware for his Rookie of the year win, he made sure to mention the 31 teams that passed on him in the draft. And afterward took it a step further.

“Yeah, actually 32 teams passed up on me 3 times, so the Cowboys just, they got lucky,” Prescott said with a big grin.

Again, there was a smile, but Prescott says the draft snub has cemented a sizeable chip on his shoulder.
Cowboys fans should consider that a good thing, tough, just like Prescott’s up close look at Super Bowl week in Houston.

“It just ignites a little fire in me and makes me want to get back to work faster,” he said.

For so long, he’s been motivated by proving people wrong, and he’s succeeded at it on every level. Now Prescott faces what may be a tougher task – proving them right.
